We are looking for a Summer 2026 Intern - Applied AI Research and Development to join our Corporate Strategy team in Ann Arbor, MI. This is an amazing opportunity to work on AI-driven research and development initiatives that explore how modern AI tools and techniques can be applied to real-world business and product challenges across Clarivate's global portfolio. You will collaborate with a small cohort of interns and experienced professionals to explore applied AI use cases across Academic Research Intelligence, Life Sciences Intelligence, and Intellectual Property Intelligence, and gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of AI, data, and business strategy.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program, with at least one year of university study completed

It would be great if you also have...

  • Demonstrated passion for AI, technology, and business strategy
  • Competency with modern AI tools and platforms such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, Replit, and/or agent development frameworks
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex AI concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for a professional, business-facing environment
  • Some hands-on experience with Python or similar programming languages
  • Prior experience applying technology to solve practical business or product-related problems

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Develop AI-enabled tools and analytical techniques across Clarivate's key domain areas: Academic Research, Life Sciences, and Intellectual Property
  • Assist in evaluating how AI-enabled capabilities can enhance products, platforms, or internal decision-making processes
  • Apply data analysis and basic engineering approaches to test ideas, assess feasibility, and evaluate outcomes
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to iterate on AI use cases and refine solutions
  • Help structure business and product-related problems, gather inputs, and translate findings into clear insights and recommendations

About the Team

The Corporate Strategy and Applied AI team partners closely with product leaders, domain experts, data scientists, and technology stakeholders across the organization. The team focuses on identifying, testing, and scaling AI-driven opportunities that deliver real business and customer impact. Interns will work within a collaborative, professional environment that values curiosity, experimentation, and practical application of emerging AI technologies, while gaining exposure to enterprise-level strategy and decision-making.

Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time, hybrid, paid summer internship running for 8 weeks, working 2 days per week on-site. You will primarily be working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to collaborate across global time zones as needed
