Documentation Specialist Associate - Kwajalein Atoll - 3832

RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of the Department of Defense in defending the United States and its interests. This position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and a potential for overseas tax incentives.

What You Will Do:

  • This role facilitates creating technical and marine team documentation but will also play a supporting role in operations and maintenance.
  • Assistin capturing organizational and process actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Document marine systems including ship power and engines, propulsion motors, chillers, and firerelated systems. This will include researching and collecting relevant documentation to assist in creating maintenance and operations documentation.
  • Document technical systems such as Flight Safety display and transmit systems, telemetry, communications, networks, and power systems.
  • Develop and draft new documentation to standards.
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising the management of equipment and facilities.
  • Assistin managing the department schedule,tracking procurement, and preparing for meetings.
  • Assistsin the coordination, direction, and fulfillment of special projects.
  • Manage and updateMicrosoft Teams and Maximo.
  • Maintains continuity of workflowby documenting and communicating needed actions to management, discovering irregularities, and resolving challenges.
  • Includes support of systems and team onaship, USAV Worthy.
  • Mayassistin takingRF safety measurements andcreatingreportson the findings.
  • Contribute other duties related to supporting the team and mission.

Skills Needed:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
  • Good oral and written communication skills with ability to define procedures and technical manuals.
  • Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and individually.
  • Highly efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong organizational and processimprovement skills.
  • Strong capability to multitask and finish assigned projects before deadlines are due.
  • Ability tooccasionallytravel to neighboring islands via helicopter and small plane.
  • Ability to work on a ship and go to sea.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing/Communications/Journalism/ Business/Electronics/IT or applicable field, a combination of education and experience, or experience in lieu of education.
  • Zero (0) or more years of professional experience utilizing the above skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • Ability tooccasionallytravel to neighboring islands via helicopter and small plane.
  • Physical ability to fit and fly in a helicopter and small aircraft. Must have a waist circumference of 42" or less to ride in helicopters.
  • Ability to work on a ship and go to sea.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in or Microsoft Teams.
  • Background in marine or ships.
  • Background inelectronics,RF, orothertechnical field.
  • Technical schools or equivalentmilitary experience.
  • Knowledge Management
