Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Senior Developer As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for the applications that support operations at our East Liverpool, Ohio facility. This role will execute enhancements, provide support and perform upgrades to the facility's core applications while partnering closely with both the local facility leadership team and Arcwood Corporate IT.

Location: This position is located onsite at our East Liverpool, Ohio manufacturing facility. The position requires being onsite 4 days per week with 1 remote work day optional.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Ensures that ARTS and related facility applications continue to meet the operational needs of the business, maintaining flexibility as needs shift
  • Creates and supports application code, database procedures and triggers
  • Creates application functionality based on user requests and facility operational requirements; performs feasibility studies including cost-benefit analysis and timeline estimation
  • Develops and executes on unit, integration and user tests to ensure software quality and functionality
  • Performs upgrades to the application environment and proposes and/or implements improvements to existing systems and processes
  • Maintains accurate documentation, including source code and writes complex queries for reporting
  • Provides diagnoses and troubleshooting for identified issues; assists with support for application problems
  • Stays abreast of new technology trends or best practices to support the overall objectives of the organization
  • Mentors and trains junior developers or other subject matter experts
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (required)


Experience

  • 5+ years of relational database experience in Informix or Oracle (required) -OR-
  • In lieu of degree, 9+ years of relational database experience in Informix or Oracle (required)
  • Previous experience with Genero or .Net (preferred)
