Description

The Senior Manager of Creative Services & Brand is a seniorlevel leader responsible for how Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is visually represented across print and digital channels. This role leads and develops the graphic design team while also serving as a handson creative contributor. The position provides strategic direction, brand stewardship, and operational leadership to ensure LSS communications are clear, accessible, and consistently onbrand across a complex organization. This is a playercoach role that blends people leadership, creative judgment, and enterprise brand implementation.

This role has enterprise-wide responsibility for visual brand implementation across Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. The Senior Manager, Creative Services & Brand leads the graphic design team; sets creative direction and quality standards; and serves as a key steward of the LSS visual identity. The position operates with a high degree of independence and judgment, partnering with senior leaders and peers to balance strategic brand consistency with the practical needs of a complex organization.

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in graphic design with demonstrated experience leading or supervising creative professionals.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence, including typography, layout, hierarchy, and accessibilityminded design.
  • Demonstrated creativity, interpersonal communication skills, as well as competency in basic grammar, punctuation, and proofreading.
  • Passion for keeping current on graphic design developments, new technologies and market trends.
  • Proficiency and demonstrable experience with the full Adobe Creative Suite as well as the Microsoft Suite. Primary workstation will be a MacBook.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations in a collaborative environment.


Preferred



  • Experience implementing and governing brand standards across a multiservice or enterprise organization.
  • Experience developing and managing digital template systems and shared design tools (e.g., Canva or similar platforms).
  • Experience balancing strategic leadership with handson creative production.
