The Clinical Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.

Our Pediatric Oncology Inpatient Unit is a combination of Medical Oncology and Stem cell transplant patients. This patient population includes patients with Leukemia (ALL and AML), Brain tumors, Sarcomas (Rhabdomyosarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Ewing's Sarcoma), neuroblastoma, and Wilms Tumor. The unit's Stem Cell transplant patients include patients being treated for malignancies and or non-malignant diseases (such as Sickle Cell Disease, Aplastic Anemia, Thalessemia, SCID). The staff cares for patients of various ages (birth to 26 years of age)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients. PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year. The PCT Intern will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 18.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
