Job Description:


Summary
Responsible for developing and growing sales of winery processing, bottling, and automation equipment
across the Napa County and Sonoma County (North Coast) territories. Partners with winery ownership,
production leadership, winemakers, and bottling managers to identify operational needs and deliver
equipment solutions that improve production efficiency, throughput, and winery operations. Through
consultative sales and technical understanding of winery production workflows, the Sales Manager
evaluates winery production systems and develops opportunities related to processing equipment,
bottling systems, sparkling wine production equipment, and end-of-line automation.

Essential Functions

* Identify and develop opportunities for winery processing, bottling, sparkling wine, and automation
equipment.
* Prospect new winery customers and develop capital equipment opportunities.
* Evaluate winery production lines and workflows to identify opportunities for improved efficiency
and operational performance.
* Develop and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and equipment demonstrations.
* Conduct winery site visits and operational assessments to understand production processes.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to winery production teams by recommending equipment solutions.
* Work closely with winemakers, bottling managers, and operations leaders to support production
planning and equipment investment decisions.
* Develop and strengthen relationships with winery ownership, winemakers, bottling managers, and
operations leadership.
* Maintain strong partnerships with existing customers while identifying new equipment
opportunities.
* Represent the company as an industry ambassador to prospective winery clients.
* Analyze existing and potential markets for winery production equipment.
* Monitor industry trends and winery capital investment cycles.
* Participate in industry events, trade shows, and winery visits to develop business opportunities.
* Partner with engineering, equipment specialists, and technical service teams to support
equipment opportunities.
* Coordinate internal resources to support equipment specification, proposal development, and
project implementation.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful equipment
installations.
* Maintain accurate sales pipeline management and forecasting through CRM systems.
* Prepare sales reports, territory plans, and equipment proposals.
* Analyze trends in sales demand and capital investment cycles.

Supervisory Responsibilities
* May mentor or provide guidance to peers or indirect team members and may participate in
collaborative sales initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of sales, account management or winemaking experience
reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of G3 sales or
account management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School
Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years sales, account management or
winemaking experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or
State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of G3 sales or account management experience
reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
* Experience selling winery equipment, beverage processing equipment, or related industrial
equipment.
* Experience working with winery production, winemaking, or bottling operations.
* Ability to manage consultative capital equipment sales processes.
* Required to travel 35%-50% of time.
* Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required
to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
* Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of sales or account management experience reflecting increasing
levels of responsibility.
* Experience selling winery bottling systems, processing equipment, or automation equipment.
* Winemaking experience and/or prior experience as a Winemaker or Bottling Manager.
* Knowledge of winery production processes including crushing, pressing, fermentation, bottling,
and packaging.
* Experience presenting technical equipment solutions to winery ownership or executive leadership.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Work is performed both in office and winery production environments. The role may involve exposure to
winery facilities with moderate to loud noise levels and varying environmental conditions.



Compensation



Hiring Salary Range: $118,500 - $148,100



Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
