Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Calumet City, IL Type: Direct Hire Pay: $72,000 - $96,000 + 4% Bonus Job Summary We are hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to support plant operations through troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment. This role focuses on maintaining electrical systems, PLCs, process equipment, and facility systems to ensure safety, reliability, and uptime in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, PLCs, DCS, and controls Maintain and repair pumps, valves, and process equipment Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime Support root cause analysis (RCA) and incident investigations Utilize SAP for work orders, spare parts, and reporting Repair systems including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing Read and interpret blueprints and schematics Assist with small projects and continuous improvement initiatives Track performance metrics such as uptime, downtime, and MTBF Follow all EHS, PSM, OSHA, and safety guidelines Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required 10+ years of maintenance experience OR 5+ years with trade certifications (Welding, Electrical, Millwright, HVAC, etc.) Experience in manufacturing or chemical plant environments preferred Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance processes and equipment Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment Work Environment Industrial plant setting with exposure to production equipment and maintenance shop conditions Must follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE Join a team committed to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement while keeping critical operations running smoothly.
