**Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations, including Stanyan, Hyde & BCH Oakland locations. The Department of Nutrition & Food Services has units at several campuses including Parnassus, Mount Zion, and Mission Bay. This position, coordinates, advises, and provides information to department personnel. This person manages a high volume of sensitive and confidential human resource issues. Responsibilities include supporting Directors, Managers, and Supervisors with personnel actions, ensuring accurate and timeline processing of all human resource (HR) and payroll actions and documents, tracking and maintaining employee records, providing department training and new employee orientation, managing security databases, and assisting with other Business Office functions and conference services for Nutrition & Food Services.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or other related area, plus 3 years HR/personnel or accounts payable administrative experience in a large organization, or equivalent experience / training.3+ years of relevant progressive experience Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and / or personnel management.Interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills, and the ability to prepare and administer oral/written presentations Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service. Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and / or human resources policies and procedures for employees. Experience working independently with minimal supervision and supporting large teams. Experience in successfully completing multi-task projects on time in a high-pressure environment.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, etc) and other administrative software programs. Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations, including Stanyan, Hyde & BCH Oakland locations.

Salary Information


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
