The Practice Coordinator (PC) serves as the visible and crucial link between our administrative team and the public, playing a pivotal role in supporting the smooth functioning of our practice and enhancing customer service. Collaborating closely with our administrative, clinical, and management teams, the PC undertakes a diverse range of responsibilities. These encompass but are not limited to managing CRM communications, handling telephone interactions, processing referrals (both internal and incoming), managing APeX in-baskets, performing scanning and filing tasks, and overseeing procedure authorizations. Moreover, the PC plays a central role in maintaining the day-to-day clerical operations and communication processes. They rigorously adhere to the UCSF House and Telephone Standards, always demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of our patients, staff, and providers. The Practice Coordinator is primarily responsible for representing the administrative team as the public face of the Practice and works closely with the administrative, clinical and management teams to support practice operations and customer service recovery and intervention efforts. S/he provides support to all functions of the administrative teams including but not limited to: CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing.
