The goal of all EVS Aides is to provide a clean, comfortable and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff, by following the EVS Seven-Step Cleaning methods. EVS Aides are expected to provide fast, efficient and high quality service to all patients, visitors, co-workers and other hospital staff. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $30.55 - $30.55 (Hourly Rate).
Required Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalentHigh degree of pulling, pushing, twisting, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing and lifting.Strength (life up to 50 lbs.) and mobility essential.Normal vision and hearing acuity; ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishStrong people skillsExposure to cleaning agent, water, dust, blood and human body fluids.Ability to move beds, isolates, cribs and ohio tables weighing up to 350 lbs.Ability to handle all EVS equipment to include floor machines, wet mop, mop buckets, custodial carts, dust mops and vacuums.
