Please note: This is a part-time limited position of approximately 17 hours per week. The work hours are flexible. The Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), established by an act of Congress in 1993, is a Federal funded program that helps families by providing no cost vaccines to doctors who serve eligible children 0 through 18 years of age. The VFC program is administered at the state level by the Immunization Branch, California Department of Public Health. Enrolled VFC providers are able to order vaccine through the state VFC Program which allows them to provide routine immunizations to eligible children with low or no out-of-pocket costs. Under the direct supervision of the VFC Program Health Education Supervisor, the Public Health Professional Worker performs a variety of duties (. e. g., filing, telephones, photocopying, scheduling, etc.
Required Qualifications
* High school graduation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Must be detail-oriented able to work independently* Basic understanding of Microsoft software including Access and Excel* Basic knowledge of general/standard clerical functions (. e.g., filing, telephones, photocopying, scheduling, etc.)* Must have own adequate transportation, ability to provide a valid CA Driver's License, and proof of current automobile insurance.
