What You'll Do As a Cybersecurity Team Lead (Biomed) supporting connected device security and cybersecurity efforts, you will lead a small team responsible for driving technical delivery, improving visibility into cybersecurity posture, and supporting secure system deployments. You will work closely with leadership and client stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking, compliance, and alignment with cybersecurity best practices across medical and connected device environments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small technical team, overseeing day-to-day activities, technical delivery, and team performance
- Develop and maintain a cybersecurity tracking system to provide clear, centralized visibility into system status and risks
- Deliver live, automated cybersecurity updates (e.g., JIRA dashboards) to leadership, including status of ATCs, Change Requests (CRs), and connectivity timelines
- Perform gap analyses for future deployment sites to support planning and mitigation activities, including upgrades, licensing, and configuration requirements
- Support development efforts for PPSM (Ports, Protocols, and Services Management) documentation
- Conduct audits and inventory reviews, including creation of POA&M (Plan of Action and Milestones) statements as needed
- Assist in firewall ruleset development and establish standardized templates across deployment sites
- Provide onsite support for inventory analysis when required
- Contribute to the development of enterprise standard configuration guides aligned with cybersecurity best practices (e.g., Welch Allyn, SkyVue, CCE Admin Tool)
- Collaborate with client HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) teams and biomedical leadership to review and validate system design documentation for medical devices and systems
- Support alignment of technical documentation and system designs with client timelines and existing infrastructure
Requirements
- Experience leading or supporting small technical teams in a cybersecurity or IT environment
- Strong understanding of connected device security, particularly within healthcare or medical device environments
- Experience with cybersecurity tracking tools and dashboarding solutions (e.g., JIRA or similar platforms)
- Familiarity with ATC processes, Change Requests (CRs), and system connectivity requirements
- Knowledge of PPSM, POA&M development, and cybersecurity audit processes
- Experience supporting firewall configuration and ruleset development
- Ability to perform gap analyses and translate findings into actionable mitigation plans
- Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in healthcare environments or with biomedical/HTM teams
- Familiarity with medical device systems such as Welch Allyn, SkyVue, or similar platforms
- Experience developing enterprise configuration standards and templates
- Background in government or federal contracting environments
- Proven ability to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency

$136,200 - $154,000
