Description We are seeking a senior level IT Business Analysts embedded within Finance to support insurance financial reporting, close, and control driven initiatives. This role is not a general IT Business Analyst position. The successful candidate will have direct experience supporting Finance teams at an insurance carrier, translating accounting and financial reporting requirements into system, data, and process changes. Candidates without insurance finance domain experience will not be considered. Core Responsibilities: Elicit, document, and validate requirements related to: oFinancial close and reconciliation processes oStatutory and GAAP reporting oIntercompany, reinsurance, and allocation workflows oFinance controls, audit support, and data lineage Translate Finance requirements into: oUser stories with clear acceptance criteria oFunctional specifications for data, reports, and interfaces oTest scenarios supporting UAT and control validation Partner with Finance stakeholders to: oAnalyze upstream/downstream systems impacts oIdentify data gaps, logic issues and control risks oSupport production issues tied to financial results Collaborate closely with developers, QA, and data teams to ensure solutions meet financial accuracy, completeness, and auditability standards Skills Business analysis, Finance, Insurance, financial reporting, Accounting, User Stories, requirement gathering, SQL, Financial Data Warehouse, ERP, Audit, agile Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred (Strongly Differentiating) Experience Prior work supporting: oRegulatory or audit driven initiatives oFinance transformation or reporting modernization Data and reporting exposure: oSQL (validation, reconciliation, or analysis) oFinancial data warehouses or reporting layers Experience with finance adjacent platforms (examples): oERP or general ledger feeds oCustom financial reporting solutions Comfort operating in environments where financial accuracy and controls outweigh speed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $10.00 - $11.00/hr.
