APP ( NP or PA) Internal Medicine - Christiansburg

Carilion Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Internal Medicine team in Christiansburg, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program

Experience: 1-3 preferred

Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assitatn ( PA) DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure requiredAHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.

Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
