Python Developer w/ Capital Markets

Job Summary:

Dexian is seeking a Python Developer w/ Capital Markets for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Developing, testing, and debugging high-performance, low-latency applications for trading, portfolio management, and risk management (front-to-back office)
• Building scalable, real-time data ingestion pipelines for market data, including integration with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and proprietary SQL/Snowflake databases
• Coding derivative pricing models, algorithmic trading strategies, and portfolio optimization tools in Python
• Automating regulatory reporting (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel III)
• Partnering with traders, quants, and risk analysts to enhance trading tools and optimizing software to handle large financial datasets

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of Python (preferred), Java or C/C++
• Creative, quick-thinking and an aptitude for solving problems with technology
• Experience of using design and architectural patterns
• Design and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, Micro services
• Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases
• Experience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD tools
• Ability to work both independently and within a high functioning team environment
• Experience of working on Quartz and remote risk is a plus
• Understanding of various financial instruments Interest rate swaps, FX swap and bond is preferred but not required
