Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)
  • 8-hour day shift
  • No weekends
  • Position will be a hybrid, with an expectation of 2 days in the office
  • Office location will be Mercy Hospital, Unity Campus

Job Description:

Provides support to regional strategic partners and project managers during project completion. Coordinates purchase order initiation and maintenance; drafts contracts and other project documentation; and reviews and organizes invoices. Provides additional project support including documentation support, compiling reports, schedules meetings/activities and communicates to key stakeholders.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides project management support.
    • Assists to draft applicable Requests for Proposal, contracts and other applicable documents and submit for approval.
    • Provides reports (e.g., Financials, Risk Management, etc.).
    • Schedules meetings.
    • Provides documentation support.
    • Crafts and distributes communications to key stakeholders and partners.
    • Assists with closeout activities.
  • Issues purchase orders(PO).
    • Processes PO requests.
    • Initiates Purchasing Agent Authorizations as needed.
    • Corresponds with vendors and contractors.
    • Documents activities in project management software.
  • Processes Invoices.
    • Organizes and reviews incoming invoices and applications for payment, ensuring that the correct project/PO is being charged and amounts are appropriate.
    • Submits invoices to Project Manager for approval.
    • Submits approved invoices to Accounts Payable.
    • Works collaboratively with Project Manager, Accounts Payable and contractor/vendor to resolve payment and invoicing issues.
  • Departmental operations, standardization and system support.
    • Participates in developing and implementing standard contracts, policies, procedures and practices.
    • Participates in system-wide initiatives.
    • Maintains professional relationships with internal and external project delivery partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Construction Management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
  • 0 to 2 years of construction project management or related experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

Physical Demands

  • Light Work:
  • Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $27.65 to $37.90 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
