Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Component Engineer to join our client on a full-time direct hire opportunity located in Melbourne Florida $110,000 to $130,000/year salary Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, Paid Holidays, 401k match What you'll be doing: Provide recommendations to design engineers and customers on electronic component selection and application Review engineering documentation including drawings, parts lists, and ECOs, and support implementation into MRP systems Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and approved manufacturer lists within MRP databases Monitor components for DMSMS (obsolescence and supply chain risks) and identify alternate solutions Perform lifecycle analysis and BOM scrubs using third-party tools Develop and update Specification Control Drawings (SCDs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) Collaborate with purchasing, materials, and configuration management teams on product changes and job kickoffs Ensure adherence to quality management systems and internal engineering standards Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives for electronic components Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 6+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician / Component Specialist U.S. Citizenship required (due to customer ITAR requirements) Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Experience with component selection, specifications, and lifecycle management Working knowledge of military standards and specifications Experience with BOM management and MRP systems Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams After you apply, you may receive a call or message from our AI Talent Scout about this role or other opportunities that match your skills and preferences.
