Description Acara Solutions is seeking a CAD Specialist to join our client on a Temp to Hire opportunity located in McLeansville, NC. Payrate: $58/hr. Shift: Day Shift, 9x80 work schedule Temp to hire opportunity Designing and modifying mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools (Creo/Pro-E or SolidWorks) Creating and updating engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs) for production Supporting electronics hardware builds (enclosures, brackets, mounts, packaging of circuit boards) Translating engineering requirements into manufacturable designs (considering tolerances, materials, fabrication methods) Working on a small engineering team-either leading CAD efforts or contributing as the primary designer Solving design issues tied to fit, form, and function of components Ensuring designs align with manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes Managing CAD files and revisions using proper configuration/file management systems Evaluating design alternatives and implementing improvements or backups if issues arise Supporting product lifecycle updates-revisions, fixes, and enhancements to existing hardware Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD tools such as Pro-E/Creo or SolidWorks. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Specialist in the use of the strategic CAD and file management tools (Pro-E/Creo or Solid Works) Accomplished at developing/integrating new ideas, optimizing alternatives, and establishing backup plans Competent in all aspects of respective design domain, mechanical design, part fabrication and assembly of electronics Additional Information: Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance.
