Torch is seeking a Surveillance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to conduct and support advanced radar technologies, including hardware and software, for strategic and tactical radars used as critical components in air and missile defense and situational awareness. Provides various software and system analysis activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and flight/ground test analysis.

As a Surveillance SME, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate in weekly task reviews with senior leadership.
  • Demonstrates understanding of system performance requirements and their relationship to system design.
  • Analyzes data to interpret performance requirements and develop meaningful metrics.
  • Supports the interpretation of study data and helps formulate responses to communicate insights to senior leadership.
  • Assists in developing strategies based on analytical findings from studies.
  • Applies strong Microsoft Office proficiency along with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop, execute, and troubleshoot test cases.

Required Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 12 or more years progressively complex software design engineering in Radar, Surveillance, or Radar Software Analysis.
  • Knowledge of the Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis,Patriot, LRDR, SBX, TPY-2, etc.).
  • Ability to develop requirements, specifications, and other associated documentation.
  • Scripting experience using Perl, Python, MATLAB, etc.
  • Experience with data reduction and analysis tools.
  • All duties performed at customer site; no telework or remote work option available.
  • Must have a current Active Secret Clearance.
