This position is specific to providing piano technical services in the College of Music. Assist in managing the piano technical services program for the College of Music. Position Overview Position is specific to providing piano technical services in the College of Music. Assist in managing the piano technical services program for the College of Music, focusing on practice room pianos for student use, assists in repairing and rebuilding pianos college purposes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field and four years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of related tools, equipment, materials, and techniques of musical instrument repair. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, charts, and designs. Ability to work from ideas and to draw own sketches and designs. Ability to locate and identify malfunctions in equipment. Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment. Ability to design, troubleshoot, and maintain complex equipment. Ability to operate standard tools and equipment. Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors in Music. May be a registered member of the Piano Technicians Guild or has any other certifications in the field. Job Duties
