JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Millennium Scholars Program has positions for Program Assistants for the Summer Bridge Program from June 21 - August 1, 2026, at University Park Campus. Millennium Scholars is a merit-based scholarship program designed to prepare students for the pursuit of doctoral degrees in the STEM disciplines. Program Assistants are required to complete an in-person training (held June 15-19) and live on campus during the entirety of the program. Housing and meals are provided. Applicants should be at least a 6th semester student in good standing, have a major in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Development, College of Information Sciences and Technology or the Eberly College of Science, and be available for the entire program. The objectives of Summer Bridge are to create a community of scholars; provide academic preparation; provide leadership training and introduce students to research. Program assistants will support the professional staff in achieving these objectives by facilitating activities and seminars, providing direct instruction to program participants, and modeling the behavior and values of the Millennium Scholars Program. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
