Job Description




As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver in Madison, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional presence, and help to reduce security-related incidents through routine patrols, strong communication, and customer service. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and follow site access protocols for staff, contractors, and deliveries.
  • Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing incident reports, and communicating important updates regarding weather, equipment concerns, and/or site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
