As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Entry Control in Cape Canaveral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage badges, and help maintain controlled entry points while delivering outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with team members and site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at a retail location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at designated entrances by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges as required, and maintaining visitor and vendor logs.
• Monitor and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing foot traffic, coordinating with site management, and reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the mall common areas, interior spaces, and exterior grounds; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
