Impact You'll Make:

Stout's Valuation Advisory professionals in Dallas help clients gain confidence by bringing clarity to complex valuation matters. As part of one of the largest independent valuation practices in the country, our Dallas team provides specialized experience across a broad spectrum of industries, asset classes, and geographies, serving a dynamic and growing market in Texas and beyond.

Vice Presidents will work on a variety of assignments, including the valuation of private debt and equity portfolios, complex securities, and strategic initiatives supporting Stout's continued expansion. This professional will manage a team responsible for producing valuation analyses and maintaining strong client relationships.

What You'll Do:

  • Apply core valuation expertise, including:
    ASC 805 Purchase Price Allocation; ASC 350/360 Goodwill Impairment; IRC 409A stock-based compensation; ASC 718 expense reporting; and potentially complex securities

  • Perform corporate, fund, and asset valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow analysis, capitalization of earnings, comparable company analysis, M&A transactions, purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment testing, stock option analysis, and valuation of illiquid debt investments

  • Lead the preparation and review of valuation reports and presentation materials

  • Develop client relationships and participate in due diligence meetings

  • Provide valuation services for management planning and shareholder disputes

  • Conduct and oversee company, industry, and economic research

  • Analyze macroeconomic and industry-specific trends

  • Support recruiting, hiring, and training of Interns, Analysts, and Associates

  • Deliver comprehensive valuation services to support financial reporting, tax, and regulatory needs for investment funds and corporate clients

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, financial engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business valuation

  • Experience with purchase price allocations, impairment testing, financial reporting valuations, estate and gift tax valuations, transaction opinions, and corporate tax valuations preferred

  • Strong understanding of financial models and valuation methodologies

  • Professional certifications such as CFA, ASA, CPA, or CEIV preferred

  • Experience valuing private debt, equity, asset-based finance, and complex financial instruments

  • Solid foundation in economics, financial theory, and accounting principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Python, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus

  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and internal teams

  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive attitude

  • Creative problem-solving abilities

  • Professional presence with strong attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset
