Established in 2017, tru fru rapidly ascended the "permissible indulgence" space as a Utah-based company selling one-of-a-kind "better for you" Hyper-Chilled and Hyper-Dried real fruit immersed in premium chocolate to retail outlets nationwide. Winning Most Innovative New Product in 2019 and 2022 in the sweets and snacks categories and climbing the fruit-based snack industry chart at an astounding growth rate, tru fru joined the Mars family of brands in February 2023. As the Brand Manager leading Innovation Expansion, Sustainability & Canada at tru fru, you will play a critical role in unlocking the next phase of growth for our current portfolio. You will blend strategic brand thinking with strong executional ownership - partnering across R&D, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Creative, and Insights to deliver meaningful, scalable growth.

What you'll do



  • Own innovation expansion, ensuring initiatives are grounded in consumer insights, commercial opportunity, and operational feasibility.
  • Lead cross-functional development from concept through commercialization, partnering closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Creative.
  • Partner with Sales to bring innovation and strategies to life through compelling customer stories, innovation sell-in materials, and customer-specific plans.
  • Leverage consumer, shopper, and category insights to continuously refine innovation strategy and prioritize opportunities.
  • Monitor brand, innovation, and commercial performance, identifying opportunities, risks, and course corrections, and deliver clear, actionable updates to leadership with strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure innovation strengthens brand equity while driving sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Partner with R&D and internal sustainability and supply chain teams on portfolio sustainability initiatives including packaging evolution, ingredient sourcing, and brand storytelling, and translate sustainability into consumer-relevant brand value.
  • Serve as brand lead for the Canadian business, partnering with the Canadian sales manager and internal stakeholders to localize brand strategy while protecting core brand equity.
  • Lead projects through influence, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals and directing agency, creative, and internal partners to deliver best-in-class work.
  • Contribute to building a high-performance, collaborative brand culture.

You have...



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of brand management experience in CPG or adjacent industries.
  • Proven experience in innovation development and commercialization.
  • Strong understanding of P&L levers, portfolio management, and advanced analytical and storytelling capabilities.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, project management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate with both structure and agility.


Pluses



  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Food & beverage CPG experience.
  • Canadian market experience.
  • Sustainability or responsible sourcing experience.
  • Experience in high-growth or entrepreneurial organizations.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
