Responsibilities

You will be working for the "High Frequency Measurements Center of Excellence" which develops world-leading high-frequency measurement solutions used to design the latest high tech devices and systems, such as AI data centers, radar systems, satellite systems, wireless communication devices and other. You will be located in the company headquarters in beautiful Santa Rosa, California, approximately 50 miles north of San Francisco.

You will be working on projects and as part of a research team that invents, designs, prototypes, develops and tests hardware, software and firmware that will go into the next generation high-frequency instrumentation and simulator products. You will be working with hardware design engineers and software engineers to create a complete system.

While part of a team, you will also be working independently on your priorities and tasks. The scope and complexity of your tasks will be based on your existing knowledge and capabilities as well as how fast you can acquire new skills.

  • Work with a group of world class experts developing and prototyping novel stimulus-response measurements and algorithms for creating and validating Digital Twins of high-frequency devices and components
  • Design and develop algorithms and software for the calibration, validation and verification of prototype instrumentation
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Communicate with and provide consultation to the developers of instrumentation firmware and simulation software.
  • Write application notes and support the field organization with the introduction of new solutions to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics
    Working knowledge of Python, C++
  • The ability to work in a team across geographic boundaries
    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with software in the context of electronic instrumentation
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio development tools
  • Experience with Mathematica, Matlab or similar mathematical processing software
  • Experience with writing and editing technical documents
  • Experience with nonlinear modelling (Volterra, X-parameters...)
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing (Fourier transform, digital filter design...)
  • Knowledge of high-frequency technology (S-parameters, VNA, travelling waves...)
  • Knowledge of software development processes, source code configuration management tools, etc
  • Software architectural design, GUI design, Software Re-Use and Leverage Experience
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and design

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range MIN $122,580.00- MAX $161,280.00
