Cabot Corporation is seeking a Category Sr Buyer to join the North America Procurement team at the Carrollton, KY manufacturing location where you are responsible for the onsite services categories through support of your assigned site and other manufacturing sites within the network.
In this role you would handle the execution of end-to-end procurement activities within onsite services, ensuring policy compliance and cost-effective, value-driven solutions. This role involves managing strategic sourcing events, negotiating contracts, and leveraging Coupa for purchase requisitions, approvals, procurement data, and supplier management. The Category Sr Buyer acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency, supply continuity, and continuous performance improvement. The primary focus of the role is Site leadership, tactical sourcing, category support and execution This role requires a highly intelligent, self-motivated person with a positive attitude, positive energy, strong organization skills, and urgency to make things happen.
This role is fully onsite based at our Carrollton, KY manufacturing location. How You'll Make an Impact: Operational Procurement
Manage end-to-end purchasing process using Coupa, including requisition review, PO creation, purchasing form and template management, contracting, and approvals. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and GBS standards. Monitor and resolve issues related to invoices, deliveries, and supplier performance. Contribute to procurement cost improvement and savings target delivery.
Sourcing & Negotiation
Conduct RFQs/RFPs for mid-value purchases and negotiate pricing and terms. Support category managers in implementing sourcing strategies and supplier consolidation. Create and maintain pricing catalogs, order forms, and RFx templates.

What You'll Bring to Cabot:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field. 3-5 years experience in procurement or buying roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in contractor management and/or facility services categories is required. Hands-on experience with Coupa or similar e-procurement platforms. In-depth knowledge of sourcing and category execution. Understanding of category traits (market conditions, suppliers, news & trends, & performance metrics and escalation protocols).
