Sr Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Scrum Master for a 6+ month contract position with our Healthcare/PBM client in Madison WI. 100% remote

Pay range: $68.00 - $72.00 per hour

Summary:

The Senior Scrum Master is an enthusiastic, driven contributor who is responsible for leading an Agile team that plan, commit, develop, and deploy together. The Scrum Master is a servant leader who helps the team achieve their goals and objectives by removing impediments, facilitating team meetings and events, and fostering an environment for high performance. The Scrum Master coaches and mentors the team on best practices and drives relentless improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Guide the team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and opportunity, support with useful team performance metrics
• Facilitate and participate in team events
• Work closely with Product Owners and team to deliver value and achieve customer satisfaction
• Participate in Scrum Master Community of Practice and help the Scrum Master community achieve a higher level of maturity
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters in the fundamentals of Scrum/Agile methodology and mindset
• Participate in Train level events
• Coach team members in agile best practices
• Manage team risk, facilitate alignment, provide transparency
• Remove impediments and blockers
• Resolve conflicts and issue that occur
• Be part of a team with diverse background
• Enable an environment of empowerment, skills, and passions
• Lead, develop and mentor a team of individuals
• Help teams implement changes effectively
• Participate in, adhere to and support compliance and diversity, equity, and inclusion program objectives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Information Systems, or other relevant technical field of study
• Scrum Master or Product Owner Certification or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or Product Owner experience
• 3+ years working on large scale corporate initiatives that span multiple product teams
• Understanding of agile at scale philosophies or methodologies
• Experience with ALM tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Rally, Azure DevOps
• Experience in a scaling agile environment and Agile Transformation
• Experience leveraging and interpreting agile metrics
• Experience synthesizing data from multiple sources and using that information to develop insights on train's status
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate large planning events

Desired skills:

• Release Train Engineer and SPC Certification
• Experience working in Healthcare or PBM
• Experience coming from a technical background before moving into a Scrum Master role
• Previous project management experience
