Will provide preoperative evaluation, coordinate the anesthetic plan with Anesthesia faculty, and deliver anesthesia care within a team-based model in the Main Operating Rooms and satellite locations. Will complete postoperative assessments and support safe, high-quality patient care in all assigned anesthetizing locations.
Will assist in educational activities with nurse anesthesia students, medical students, residents, and other learners as needed. Will participate in quality improvement work and support the safe use and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Work hours will be determined in coordination with the Chief Nurse Anesthetist based on department needs.
Compensation for this temporary appointment is $225.00 per hour.
Applicants must hold an RN license in Iowa, an Iowa ARNP license, and have completed a graduate program in nurse anesthesia leading to CRNA certification. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, commitment to an inclusive environment, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical setting.
