The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time while adhering to all regulatory standards. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system, overseeing the collection and recording of employee time and attendance data, and addressing any payroll discrepancies. As a Payroll Specialist, you will collaborate closely with HR and total rewards teams to ensure that all payroll activities align with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to operate under tight deadlines, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. You will be provided with ongoing professional development opportunities, empowering you to stay current with changing payroll laws and regulations. In addition to processing payroll, you will also have the opportunity to implement improvements in the payroll process, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team. In this role you will:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws.
  • Collaborate with HR to manage employee changes such as new hires, terminations, and status changes.
  • Assist in the annual preparation of payroll tax returns and W-2s.
  • Implement and improve payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

What we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of ADP, Workday and MS Excel.
  • Understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees and management.
