Dematic is seeking a Logistics Analyst for its Corporate Office in Grand Rapids, MI. This role focuses on managing global freight invoices, supporting audits, ensuring supplier adherence, and reporting transportation performance metrics. The position works closely with Dematic departments such as AP, Finance, Transportation, Procurement, and Project Management, along with external suppliers and third-party logistics providers. Reporting to the Transportation Category Lead on the North America Procurement team, the analyst reviews, allocates, and presents freight invoices received from carriers in various formats to Accounts Payable. Additionally, the role supports the Transportation Team by collecting global data and reporting meaningful transportation indicators. a hybrid work schedule is available. We offer:

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $62,250 - $91,300 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

  • Ensure timely and complete receipt of all transportation-related invoices from Dematic's third-party logistics providers submitted in various formats

  • Accurately allocate charges to appropriate project and/or cost centers

  • Work together with Dematic's third-party freight bill, audit, and payment provider to verify invoice accuracy before payment

  • Provide FPA carrier agreements/rate amendments

  • Build and maintain carrier lane rate matrices ("rate cards")

  • Establish and cultivate relationships with Dematic material resale suppliers to ensure compliant carrier/mode utilization and consistent documentation preparation - accurate P.O./reference information

  • Confront and address non-compliant behavior(s) accurately

  • Maintain and ensure detailed circulation of Dematic's routing guide - updating to reflect carrier/routing changes as directed by the Category Lead

  • Develop, maintain, and publish meaningful Transportation performance measures through data collection.

  • Support third-party freight pay and audit provider to investigate non-compliant transportation invoices to determine accurate allocation

  • Support data integration and automation where possible

  • Resolve carrier invoicing concerns as identified and pursue corrective actions

  • Collaborate with Dematic Procurement (material Category Leads) to ensure consistent application of desired P.O. incoterms

  • Miscellaneous invoice review, validation, and approval

  • Support the Transportation Team in generating SAP reports as requested by the business

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 2 to 3 years transportation/logistics/supply chain experience

  • Knowledge and strong utilization of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Microsoft Teams and SAP background

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with peers and upper management

  • Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions and minimal direction

  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize with strong time-management skills - reliability

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Must consistently demonstrate a dedication to excellence, integrity, and ability to collaborate across virtually every functional area

  • Effective communication in English (verbal and written)

  • Must demonstrate the highest level of responsiveness to internal and external partners
