Senior Applications Developer

Bureau of Solutions Management within the Infrastructure and Economic Development Delivery Center (IED-DC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applications Developer to join the team. This position serves as a technical point of contact and IT application manager for large, highly complex driver and vehicle service IT applications. Work includes leading contractors on software development and maintenance activities by maintaining effective working relationships with project and application stakeholders. This includes individuals from all levels from Front-line/clerical through senior management. Applications stakeholders are from within PennDOT, the Commonwealth, and external business partners. You will serve as liaison between application stakeholders and IT resources and as the primary technical point of contact for the assigned applications. You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain project plans for large, complex software development projects, actively manage software development projects, and serve as team leader of both IED-DC and contractor team members on software development and maintenance activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as an Applications Developer 2 or Computer Programmer 4; or
• Five years of information technology experience that includes three years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
• Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
• One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
