Livestock Worker 1 - Presque Isle Downs Racetrack

The Department of Agriculture is currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill Livestock Worker positions at Presque Isle Downs Racetrack. The Livestock Worker 1 role entails a variety of responsibilities centered around the care and management of assigned horses. The worker is required to package these samples in accordance with established protocols to maintain their integrity and ensure accurate results. Beyond these specific tasks, the Livestock Worker 1 is also expected to assist with other essential farm activities, contributing to the overall operation and maintenance of the facility. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• This is a temporary part-time position
• Typical work schedule is 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday - Wednesday.
• The work schedule is vendor controlled and may change as determined by the racing schedule.

• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Experience in general farm work; and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Post Employment Requirement:

• This position will require possession of a Commission Employee License once hired.
