Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour + $3.00 Shift Differential

Position Summary

The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of diesel vehicles. This role focuses on identifying issues before they become breakdowns while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, safety checks, and repairs on diesel vehicles
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Utilize vehicle computer diagnostic systems to identify failure modes and adjust engine and vehicle control modules
• Respond to road calls for emergency repairs as needed
• Review, complete, and/or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
• Accurately complete required documentation using fleet maintenance software
• Test drive vehicles after repairs and services to ensure safe operation
• Assist other mechanics and team members as needed
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with drivers and coworkers
• Keep the shop and work areas clean, safe, and compliant with company and OSHA standards
• Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned

• Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools, preventative maintenance, and repair
• Basic mechanical tool set
• Hydraulic systems experience preferred
