Security Officer - Day Shift

As a Security Officer - Day Shift in Zeeland, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to issues with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access at entrances and delivery points by checking identification, directing traffic flow for employee and vendor vehicles, and logging visitor and contractor activity per site requirements.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and document observations, patrol results, and incidents using required reports and/or electronic tools.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and assisting with evacuations or area lockdowns per site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
