Job Description
Elwyn seeks a Clinician to be responsible for planning, monitoring, and improving overall clinical services delivered to adults residing in the Residential Treatment Facility (RTF). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate comprehensive assessments for assigned client's strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development and growth in accordance with program and funding regulations
- Devise a treatment plan, with the client and the treatment team, and assist in implementing the treatment goals and objectives
- Engage the client in participating in the development of personal goals and objectives for the duration of psychotherapy
- Maintain therapy progress notes
- Maintain contact with treatment team psychiatrist to review and monitor the course of treatment
- Maintain contact with other clinical staff on the treatment team to ensure cohesiveness in treatment
- Provide the necessary psychotherapies in conjunction with medical necessity and client needs through both individual and group sessions
- Assist in crisis intervention and hospitalization as necessary
- Provide assistance, support, and consultation on matters of psychological/therapeutic service and clinical treatment to the mental health services treatment team and others as pertinent
- Train all members of the treatment team on behavioral/treatment plans
- Create, maintain and supervise the behavior/treatment plan with active participation of the interdisciplinary team
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBAs) when necessary, clinical interventions, as well as developing the necessary auxiliary materials to assist assigned clients in their treatment/behavioral goals
- Conduct Managed Care Organizations (MCO) reviews including clinical reviews of clients assigned
- Participate in routine clinical supervision with the Clinical Director
- Attend administrative staff meetings as required
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency trained protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and/or Counseling Psychology
- Two years mental health experience with adults
- Familiarity with application of behavioral analytic treatment approaches
- Knowledge and ability to administer standardized psychological and behavioral assessments
- Ability to analyze and report on behavioral data
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated excellent judgment with the ability to independently solve problems and make decisions with little or no need for direct supervision
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future needed changes or identify problem areas and take effective actions
- Must be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred
- Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record
