Who we are looking for:

Cornerstone Home Lending is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join its' team! The Purchasing Specialist will support our post-closing efforts after the loan is delivered to the investor for purchase, if the investor requires any additional information or documentation, the Purchasing Specialist will respond within the required timeframe to all inquiries, requests or corrections in accordance with regulatory and investor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively monitor all applicable sources for incoming suspense notifications.
• Log, print or retrieve from investor suspense notifications received from investors.
• Expeditiously work suspense and any re-suspense notifications submitted by the investor to identify the error. Analyze loan documentation received and accuracy to determine corrective action needed to clear the suspense.
• Review, research and provide timely notification to impacted branches/affected parties and contact vendors for any needed corrections.
• Locate/Upload any correct/missing loan documents retrieved to clear the suspense.
• Pro-actively follow up for status on all pending suspense items to ensure timely receipt and clearing of conditions within the established guidelines set by the investor.
• Review of status reports for conditions waiting to be cleared, conditions cleared but waiting for investor to purchase, and loans suspended
• Furnish to the investor all corrected items required to clear the suspense within the required timeframe (preferably before due date)
• Perform other job-related duties and or special projects as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan documents.
• Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
• Able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to follow established operating procedures and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to read and interpret corrective action to cure a suspense.
