The Head of Sales Engineering - Global Accounts leads the technical sales strategy and execution for the company's largest multinational enterprise customers. This role is responsible for building, managing, and developing a globally distributed team of Sales Engineers that support a defined portfolio of strategic global accounts.

The leader ensures that technical engagement aligns with the company's revenue strategy while enabling customers to successfully evaluate, adopt, and expand the company's solutions across complex, multi-regional environments.

This role requires a highly experienced technical sales leader capable of operating across multiple geographies, cultures, and large enterprise buying centers, while partnering closely with Global Account Executives, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership.

The position demands strong operational discipline, executive engagement skills, and the ability to position complex technical solutions within large enterprise architectures.

Key Responsibilities

Global Sales Engineering Leadership



  • Lead and manage a globally distributed team of Sales Engineers supporting the company's largest multinational accounts.
  • Build and execute a technical engagement strategy for strategic enterprise customers across multiple regions.
  • Establish best practices for technical discovery, solution design, architecture alignment, and executive technical engagement.
  • Develop scalable processes for global account technical coverage.


Strategic Customer Engagement



  • Support high-value enterprise sales opportunities through direct technical leadership on complex deals.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor to strategic customers and internal account teams.
  • Engage with CIO, CTO, CISO, and enterprise architecture leaders within global accounts.
  • Drive architectural alignment between the company's solutions and customer technology strategies.


Technical Sales Execution



  • Guide Sales Engineers through complex technical sales cycles including:


    • Technical discovery
    • Solution architecture
    • Proof-of-concept / proof-of-value
    • Security and architecture reviews
    • Technical competitive positioning


  • Ensure consistent technical win strategies across global accounts.


Cross-Functional Leadership



  • Partner closely with:


    • Global Account Sales leadership
    • Product Management
    • Marketing
    • Customer Success
    • Partner ecosystem teams


  • Provide customer-driven feedback to Product teams regarding enterprise requirements and roadmap priorities.


Team Development



  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing Sales Engineering talent globally.
  • Coach team members on:


    • Enterprise technical storytelling
    • Executive technical engagement
    • Strategic account planning


  • Create career growth paths and leadership development opportunities within the organization.


Thought Leadership & Market Presence

Establish the team as trusted technical thought leaders for the company's most strategic customers.

Qualifications

Required Experience



  • 15+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role managing technical sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success supporting large multinational enterprise customers.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture and complex technical sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to influence executive-level technology decision makers.


Preferred Background



  • Experience selling complex enterprise technology such as:


    • Cybersecurity
    • Cloud platforms
    • Infrastructure or AI platforms
    • Data platforms


  • Experience supporting Global 2000 / Fortune 500 accounts.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise procurement and multi-regional deployments.
  • History of working with partner ecosystems and systems integrators.

The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We'll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage disclosure has not been adjusted for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location at which this position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $275,000 - $325,000. In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. Benefits/perks listed here may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Check Point Software Technologies and the country/state where you work.
