The Manager, Solution Architects leads a team of solution architects responsible for designing and delivering scalable, high-quality technical solutions that align with customer requirements and business objectives. This role combines technical leadership, team management, and strategic collaboration across sales, product, engineering, and customer experience teams.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise of Trimble Solutions, strong leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into innovative solution architectures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Solution Architects.

  • Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and support professional growth.

  • Establish best practices for solution design, documentation, and implementation.

  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture within the team.

Solution Design & Technical Leadership
  • Oversee architecture and design of complex enterprise solutions.

  • Ensure solutions align with product capabilities, security standards, and scalability requirements.

  • Provide architectural guidance during pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales phases.

  • Review and approve solution designs and technical proposals.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Experience teams to support strategic accounts.

  • Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and solution presentations.

  • Translate customer business challenges into practical technical solutions.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex architectural issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to communicate internal and customer feedback and influence product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and architectural standards.

Process & Strategy
  • Define scalable processes for solution architecture engagements.

  • Track and report on team metrics, project progress, and customer outcomes.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in solution delivery.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, systems engineering, or related technical roles.

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, and system integration.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel up-to 30%

Preferred
  • Experience working with enterprise customers in a pre-sales or consulting capacity.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Experience with SaaS solutions and enterprise software implementations.

  • Architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF).

Working Conditions

Work takes place in a variety of settings as follows:

  • In an office setting that requires the ability to sit and work at a keyboard and computer monitor for extended periods of time, and to communicate with customers and co-workers by phone and computer.

  • In various settings related to on-site customer engagements and consultant training. This includes travel to and from site via car, train, and airline, standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, presentation of training/consulting topics, and overnight hotel stays.

  • High stress may occur.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
