*Overview:*
The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for delivering highquality technical support to end users across the organization. This role ensures that all workforce technology-including computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and related hardware/software-is fully functional, secure, and aligned with company standards. The ideal candidate is customerfocused, detailoriented, and capable of troubleshooting a wide range of technical issues in a fastpaced environment. *Essential Functions:* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This list is not allinclusive and additional duties may be assigned as needed. * Provide exceptional customer service by promptly fulfilling IT service requests and resolving technical issues for end users. * Respond to incoming support requests in a timely, professional manner, ensuring immediate resolution when possible and escalating when necessary. * Install, upgrade, configure, and decommission IT equipment used by employees, including laptops, desktops, multifunction printers (MFPs), fax machines, monitors, and mobile devices. * Follow all established IT policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistent support delivery and compliance with organizational standards. * Provide handson technical assistance to users regarding hardware, operating systems, productivity tools, and approved software applications. * Diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues using standard troubleshooting methods while engaging other IT teams for complex or escalated problems. * Image, deploy, and configure workstations in accordance with organizational standard operating procedures and security guidelines. * Deliver specialized technical support to board members and corporate executives, ensuring a high level of service for PenFedissued devices, remote access, and software. * Provide occasional handson support to partner departments during technology implementations, system rollouts, or issue resolution activities. * Accurately record all actions, updates, and resolutions within the organization's incident, request, and problem management system to maintain clear and complete documentation. * Participate in scheduled oncall rotations to provide afterhours support when assigned, ensuring continuity of service and rapid response to urgent issues. *Qualifications:* * Experience providing desktop or enduser support in a corporate or enterprise environment * Strong troubleshooting skills related to hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications * Familiarity with imaging tools, ticketing systems, and IT service management (ITSM) processes * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support users at all technical levels * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple requests simultaneously * Commitment to delivering highquality customer service * Ability to lift, move, and install equipment as required *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Tysons, VA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
