Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Oracle ERP Financial Functional is the enterprise leader for Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) Financials, responsible for solution architecture, functional governance, and continuous optimization of global Finance capabilities. This role serves as the primary liaison among Finance, IT, Tax, Operations, and Shared Services teams to ensure the ERP platform enables accurate, compliant, and scalable financial operations across a complex, global manufacturing footprint.

The ideal candidate brings mastery in Oracle Financials, strong process transformation experience, deep understanding of global manufacturing complexities, and hands-on expertise with Vertex tax integrations, multiorg, and intercompany flows.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle ERP Financials Expertise & Solution Leadership

  • Serve as the enterprise subject matter expert for Oracle EBS Financial modules, including GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA, and eBTax, with direct ownership of system integrity and usability.

  • Lead endtoend solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment for Finance enhancements and major initiatives, consistent with insights from internal ERP usage and improvement patterns (e.g., shared TMS/Oracle architecture).

  • Own functional oversight of Vertex tax integration, ensuring accurate tax determination, global compliance, and alignment with indirect tax strategies.

  • Evaluate Oracle patches, upgrades, and new functionalities; guide roadmap decisions and manage regression testing cycles.

  • Partner with IT technical teams to convert functional requirements into scalable, supportable technical designs.

  • Ensure financial systems comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, segregation of duties, and audit expectations (aligned with templates referencing SOX approvers).

Global Finance Process Optimization & Transformation

  • Identify gaps and drive redesign of financial processes to improve automation, accuracy, cycle time, and global standardization.

  • Lead transformation initiatives supporting digital finance strategy-leveraging advanced reporting, analytics, and integration across systems such as OneStream, CPQ, and manufacturing systems (referenced in enterprise architecture docs).

  • Strengthen financial data structures (COA, intercompany flows, costing integrations) to support consistent global reporting.

  • Champion simplification of workflows, enabling smoother close cycles, tax compliance, and interorg transaction accounting.

CrossFunctional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Operations, Tax, and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions support business objectives, operational needs, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with global business segments on enhancements, testing cycles, rollout plans, training, and organizational change management (consistent with cross-functional ERP governance frameworks).

  • Represent Finance in architecture councils, steering committees, solution design reviews, and transformation projects.

Support, Governance & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee prioritization and resolution of functional production issues, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement backlog.

  • Define and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, SOPs, test scripts, and training materials using internal JD standards (e.g., templates).

  • Establish data governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data across all Oracle Finance workflows.

  • Drive adoption of key process behaviors aligned with organizational continuous improvement culture (e.g., problemsolving frameworks).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline.

  • 10+ years of handson functional experience with Oracle EBS Finance (R12+), including full lifecycle implementations, configuration, and global support.

  • Expertise with Vertex tax integration (mandatory).

  • Deep understanding of global, multientity, multicurrency, multiorg structures, and intercompany/interorg manufacturing flows.

  • Strong knowledge of financial processes including ordertocash, procuretopay, recordtoreport, asset accounting, tax, and financial close.

  • Proven ability to translate complex functional and business needs into scalable system solutions.

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Experience leading finance transformation or system optimization initiatives at scale.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Experience in global manufacturing or industrial organizations (aligned with internal system architecture showing multiregion ERP usage).

  • Professional certifications: CPA, CMA, or MBA.

  • Experience with OneStream, Oracle CPQ, or advanced financial reporting tools.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuousimprovement methodologies.

  • Experience working in environments with hybrid ERP landscapes (Oracle, JD Edwards, CPQ, BI, etc.) as reflected in enterprise architecture files.

The salary range for this position is $138,400-$190,300. This is the US national average for this position. The salary range may be higher or lower depending on the applicant's location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and/or long-term incentive.
