Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the CNA supports the continuum of care by providing basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living. Performs uncomplicated technical procedures. Utilizes a variety of technical equipment and supplies. Provides basic patient care support: patient transport, specimen and blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands and the ability to work in a team environment. Participates in collaborative team environment, including: training and evaluation of peers; scheduling of work; and assisting the administrative functions of the unit. Jacobs Medical Center Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit offers the only Blood and Marrow Transplant program in San Diego that is affiliated with a renowned School of Medicine and accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Hematopoietic Therapy (FACT). We focus on Blood and Marrow Transplant, cellular therapies such as CAR-T, and serving patients with hematological malignancies on our 36-bed private room unit. The growing list of diseases, as well as non-malignant conditions we treat includes: lymphoma and Hodgkin's disease, acute and chronic leukemia, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, testicular cancer, aplastic anemia, auto-immune and genetic diseases. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,396 - $65,396 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.32 - $31.32 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
