SALARY: $24 Hourly

Astrion has an exciting opportunity foran Engineering Technician III located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.Astrion has worked extensively with the Missile Propulsion Test Division where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • 5 years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or 2 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 3 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements.
  • Mechanical - At least 4 years of the 5 years' experience must include successful completion of 1 year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of 2 years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
  • Liquid-Propellant-Action-Response-Team (LPART) certified or the ability to obtain once hired.
  • Have or obtain Class "A" CDL with hazmat endorsement.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handlemultipleprojects at once.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Industrial Maintenance/Mechanical A.A.S, or Aerospace Technology A.A.S preferred.
  • Industrial pipe fitting experience a plus.
  • Welding experience a plus.
  • Experience working with engineers and senior managementrequired.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management highly desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support mechanical operations in and around Test Stand/fixtures. Operate and maintain equipment for test support. Comprehend various test setups and lead the mechanical responsibilities while following applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Operate forklifts from Class VII and below, mobile and overhead crane, and other similar equipment.
  • Interface with Government customers, and other agency representatives.
  • Some travel may berequired.
