SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES This position is responsible for managing the Bank's Credit Risk Function through Credit MIS, Portfolio Stress Testing, Credit Loan Policy, Business Unit Risk Officer, Quality Control, Letter of Credit Monitoring, Credit Risk Review and Internal audit issue monitoring. In conjunction with SSB Credit Leadership, formulates the Bank's Commercial credit policies, standards and procedures to ensure the overall quality of the lending portfolio. The Director of Credit Administration must be well-versed in sound lending principles, the Bank's loan policy, and current Federal and state laws and regulations. The Role will supervise and develop the Credit Administration team to assess risk within the loan portfolio. This Leader must be able to work well with all levels of the organization and build strong relationships with Banking Group Chief Credit Officers, Credit Administration Leadership, Credit Administration Business Unit Owners, Executive Leadership, Credit Risk Review, Internal and External Audit, and Bank Regulators as well as other operational support teams. The role will require a skill set that balances operational requirements with lending knowledge, and technical skills. The Director of Credit Administration is expected to proactively identify and communicate ideas for improving the credit administration process including the use of technology. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with the use of the right desk. This position may require bending and reaching. WORK ENVIRONMENT The position is located inside a cooled and heated facility with the ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks. Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
