Electrical Engineer

Position: Electrical Engineer - Medical Device

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay: $55 - $60 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support medical device design remediation, testing, and regulatory compliance. This role focuses on integrating acquired technologies into an established medical device portfolio while ensuring alignment with internal engineering work instructions, SOPs, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify gaps in compliance with engineering work instructions and standard operating procedures and develop strategies to address them.
• Support electrical design remediation, product design improvements, and technical documentation.
• Develop and validate engineering test methods, including design verification and validation activities.
• Assess the feasibility of engineering processes, equipment, and product designs to ensure reliability and performance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Communicate project progress, technical risks, and recommended solutions to project leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support medical device integration and product development initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 4+ years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Experience with implantable medical devices and related testing.
• Strong background in electrical or systems engineering documentation, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to interpret complex technical data and provide engineering recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with IEC 14708, IEC 45502, or IEC 60601 medical device standards.
• Experience with Altium, LTspice, or similar electrical design tools.
• Knowledge of medical device design verification and validation testing.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
