Job Description

The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for inks and coatings manufacturing. This role supports the corporate master planning agenda by aligning site-level capacity with demand plans, driving inventory turns, maintaining high service levels, and minimizing total manufacturing costs. The Scheduler partners closely with Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Corporate Supply Chain to ensure that production resources, materials, and schedules are synchronized for efficient execution. This position plays a key role in INX's digital planning journey, leveraging data and technology to improve forecast accuracy, schedule adherence, and operational efficiency.

  • Translate the corporate master schedule into executable daily, weekly, and monthly production plans that balance demand, plant capacity, equipment uptime, and labor availability.
  • Partner with Corporate Demand Planning to maintain and update Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs) monthly, ensuring accurate finished goods demand and clean MRP signals.
  • Execute and maintain MRP planning to convert demand into production/process orders and support accurate raw-material purchase requisitions.
  • Communicate material requirements changes proactively and coordinate with Material Management, Procurement, Sales, and Production to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Track schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and production performance; identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor finished goods, WIP, and external warehouse inventory to align with service, inventory turns and working capital targets; maintain planning parameters, safety stock, lead times, and master data integrity in SAP.
  • Partner with Production and Lab teams to optimize batching, improve work-off utilization, and reduce waste, cost, and excess inventory.
  • Escalate risks early (material shortages, delays, resource constraints) and lead cross-functional problem solving to protect customer service and production commitments.
  • Report key planning KPIs (schedule adherence, service level, inventory turns, plan vs. actual) to site and corporate planning teams to drive data-based decisions.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA planning transformation and continuous improvement of scheduling and inventory management best practices.

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to have:
