As a Bartender for Links Bar & Grill at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you will execute beverage service and all the components involved at the highest level. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. We are a longstanding symbol of home and family, rooted in tradition and eager to shape a brighter future together. * Fully understands the drink menu, wine list, ingredients, and preparation * Responsible for the complete service at the bar and lounge * Maintains a constant flow of soiled dishes to the kitchen and clean supplies to the dining room * Meticulously cleans and resets the bar and lounge during and after meal * Has the ability to use the POS efficiently and manage bar inventory * Must be proficient in multi-tasking and managing designated stations * Must comply with opening and closing duties as well as running side work necessities * Must directly and consistently communicate with the culinary and management team * Processes guest's checks and submits closing paperwork in a timely manner * Listens to and resolves customer complaints regarding service, product, and personnel * Must effectively delegate service responsibilities to the assisting staff such as to bussers * Perform other duties as assigned What we are looking for: * High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 to serve alcohol * Minimum one year of bartending experience in fine dining; extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer required * Flexible schedule required, including availability on Fridays and Saturdays * Strong communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry * Ability to obtain necessary licenses; bartending certificate required * Must lift trays up to 35 lbs. and stand for extended periods * Basic math skills for cash register operations and understanding portion sizes * Proficient in English for guest communication and order taking; basic writing skills for requisitions and balance sheets What's in it for you? * A free, well-balanced meal every shift * Discounted gym membership * Room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts * Discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa * Free parking * "Two for one" movie theater coupons at Marcus Theatres * Ability to grow your career and transfer from one property to another * Early wage access * Paid time off * Flexible scheduling * Medical, dental, and vision insurance (offered after 30 days of employment), company-paid life insurance, employee assistance program offer, and 401k with employer match * And more!
