Position Summary

The inpatient psychiatric ARNP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and directing treatment for adult patients with psychiatric disorders admitted to acute inpatient level of care.Responsibilities
*Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization
*Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments
*Formulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans
*Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications
*Order laboratory tests as indicated
*Manage acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventions
*Lead treatment team meetings and coordinate activity of the interdisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, RNs, and other team members
*Consult with primary care providers and other clinicians to facilitate evaluation and treatment of medical conditions
*Collaborate with Social Workers and Court Evaluators to assess readiness for discharge and formulate discharge plans
*Document in the electronic medical record
Requirements
*A graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
*An active Washington state RN license, without sanctions or restrictions
*State NP license
*Current CME hours to maintain licensure
*Adult Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners
*Registration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
*An active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
*Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $96.00 - $96.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
