Acara Solutions seeks a Senior Network Design Engineer contractor to work on Space Force satellite ground systems for our client in Scottsdale, AZ. The hourly contractor rate is $81.73. This is an onsite position.
This is a U.S. government contractor position, the position requires a citizen that can get a U.S. Secret clearance after start date (or current has a Secret clearance). Here's what you'd do:
- Design and maintain enterprise network topologies supporting satellite ground systems
- Implement and support high-speed network infrastructure and routing environments
- Manage network services across Linux and Windows environments, including DNS and account management
- Maintain and secure infrastructure using tools such as Juniper firewalls, Arista switches, and NAS/SAN storage
- Perform vulnerability scanning, system hardening, and remediation while maintaining detailed technical documentation.
Ideally the contractor will have the following skills:
- Enterprise Network Design/topology
- High speed network design and implementation
- Maintenance of Network topology that utilize Linux IDM/Windows Servers for DNS and Account Management, Juniper Firewalls, Arista Switches and NAS/SAN storage
- Familiarity with Multicast, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc)
- Experience with vulnerability scanning, hardening and resolution of findings
- Written skills to include development and maintenance of documentation for network, system, operations, etc.
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere and virtual machines
- Familiarity with Red Hat Linux operating system
Required skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar STEM degree
- Min 8 years of network design engineering experience
- Min 2 years of network experience supporting spacecraft or military ground systems
Preferred skills:
- Master's Degree in Engineering with 6 years of experience
- Enterprise Network Design/topology
- High speed network design and implementation
- Maintenance of Network topology that utilize Linux IDM/Windows Servers for DNS and Account Management, Juniper Firewalls, Arista Switches and NAS/SAN storage
- Familiarity with Multicast, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, etc)
- Written skills to include development and maintenance of documentation for network, system, operations, etc.
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere and virtual machines
- Familiarity with Red Hat Linux operating system
