As a Security Guard - Unarmed - Overnights in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and/or questions with clear communication, and document security-related events. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors and delivery drivers by verifying identification, issuing credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs and directing traffic to proper check-in points.
• Monitor and report unusual activity at gates, lobbies and other access points, communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal supervision to help support orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and written reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas and the perimeter, watching for hazards, unauthorized access and/or policy violations and reporting findings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
